‘The Young And The Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers show that Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) offered to be Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) and Chance Chancellor’s (Donny Boaz) donor for their baby, and today, Abby officially accepted on behalf of her and Chance.
Yeah, they’re moving on with this story still. Without Chance. We’ve seen the response from everyone, and we’re with you… What are they thinking? Why are they doing this to us, unless they’re bringing Chance back?
‘The Young And The Restless’ Spoilers: It’s Official – Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) Is The Donor
As soon as they got rid of Boaz, this entire storyline should have been scrapped. It feels so awkward and forced, and Devon all the sudden being best friends with Abby and Chance that he wanted to flat out offer them to be a donor for their baby was weird.
However, it looks like there might be some trouble for Devon, as Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) is highly worried about him not wanting to sign some documents. While at the moment, Devon is completely on board with everything, making everything legal is just to keep everyone’s butts safe.
The weirdest part was the discussion of race between Abby and Nina, and bringing up Devon’s race. It was very clunky and felt a little preachy. Abby clarified that she and Chance are “just white people” and that they could never understand what it’d be like raising a bi-racial baby. If that’s what you’re concerned with, maybe you shouldn’t be having a baby.
I hate it. I hate this whole storyline. I hate how impatient Abby is. I hate that Chance is gone. I feel like I’m taking crazy pills.
