Netflix’s docu-series ‘Fear City: New York vs The Mafia’ is streaming on Netflix right now. It follows the booming crime wave in the 1970s and 1980s until a group of Federal agents tried something that had never been tried before, taking them all down, at once!
Throughout New York, there were five crime families that ran the city. These families were in charge of seemingly everything that happened and even had cops in their pockets. When you watch the docu-series, there’s a lot of languages and slang said throughout, where if you’ve seen enough Mafia films, you may know what they mean.
However, for people who are less familiar with it, you may be a bit confused about hearing these guys talk. Netflix has you covered with a new video that translates Mafia slang. Check out the video below that was uploaded with the following description,
“Ever wonder what the mafia meant when they said toilet water, whacked or wise guy? Translating all the mafia slang from Fear City: New York vs The Mafia, now on Netflix.”
