ABC ‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Actor/Author/Advocate
As you might know, Benard has a mental illness. ‘General Hospital’ spoilers reveal it was even written into the show, which just goes to prove how open he is and how strongly he feels about mental health advocacy. To that end, he even wrote a book recently where he details that struggle as well as other stories from his life.
If you’ve been following the actor at all, you know he’s been busy doing press for his book and sharing information and resources. He also has an Instagram chat every week called “State of Mind” where he shares stories. This was meant to connect with others and help people know they’re not alone. Today, he spoke out for someone else by putting out an early edition.
ABC ‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Plea for compassion
On July 22nd, Benard took to YouTube to speak about the news going around about Kanye West. In the short video, he related that reactions to his tweet reaching out to the musician prompted him to come out and ask people to remember the importance of compassion.
We can’t know a person’s struggle unless we’ve walked it, and how we always need to show kindness and compassion. We don’t even have to look at any of the news stories today to know what the comments sections likely say. Sometimes, the internet can be a cruel place that is merciless in their judgement.
For Benard to come out and share such a message makes us respect him even more. Too often, especially now, people are quick and harsh to criticize, blame, or shame another person. Benard’s video is a must-see and a reminder that there’s never a time where we can’t show a little kindness. And sometimes, it just might save a life.
ABC ‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Getting personal
During the video, Benard spoke a bit of his own personal struggle. He talked about how the depression part of Bipolar, as well as the anxiety, is the worst part. And it’s that pain it brings that helped motivate him to seek help.
With everything going on now, we’re sure there’s a lot of other people struggling out there. So, we hope you’re reaching out. And if you’re not personally struggling, we hope the kindness you show will help someone who is see a bright spot in the darkness.
