Unfortunately, daytime soap opera stars have struggled personally with the pandemic. Shortly after the outbreak, Greg Rikaart, who plays Kevin Fisher, announced that he had tested positive for COVID-19. More recently, Christie Clark and Judi Evans from Days of Our Lives had both announced that they, too, were suffering with the virus. Thankfully, Christie Clark is coping well with her diagnosis and is expected to make a full recovery. Judi Evans has suffered other complications from the virus and is still recovering from coronavirus.

Over the past several weeks, Lauralee Bell, who played Christine Blair, celebrated her late mother’s birthday. Lee Phillip Bell was the co-creator and co-mastermind behind The Young and the Restless. In terms of birthdays, Sasha Calle, who plays Lola Rosales, turned 22 years old on June 17, 1998. Her daytime TV sibling, Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) also celebrated his birthday! On June 15, Jordi celebrated 39 years old. Y&R veteran, Eileen Davidson, who plays Ashley Abbott, celebrated her 61stbirthday on June 15th. It’s clear that things are cooking up for our favorite soap opera stars!
