Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga spoilers reveal there’s a new movie to see. Netflix recently released this film that is centered around the famous contest. If you’ve never seen the real thing, we recommend looking up clips, or checking the news to keep update on when it might happen and who might air it. It was on Logo a few years ago, and was an entertaining watch. But we think this was even more so. Let’s take a look at a few highlights.
Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga background
First, let’s start with the basics of the plot. Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga centers around a duo called Fire Saga. One of the members, Lars Erickssong (Will Ferrell) was a child back when ABBA won the contest in the ‘70s. He was so drawn in by the contest, he declared he’d win it one day.
The rest of the movie jumps ahead to when he’s an adult. He and Sigrit Ericksdóttir (Rachel McAdams) are preparing to enter Iceland’s contest to see if they can represent their country at Eurovision. The thing is, no one in their town seems particularly supportive of them. In fact, they end up in a very frustrating moment during a performance at home that will be referenced again later.
Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga spoilers highlight
There are actually two highlights for us. The first came when our duo made it to Eurovision and all the contestants gathered together for a party. This led to a great sing along that perfectly messed tons of hits. Although we did cringe a bit while they did “Believe” because of our Buffy the Vampire Slayer love. And if you watched season 4 of that show, you understand why. Despite the one song choice, everyone sounded great. It was also very well-choreographed and brought a huge smile.
Another highlight was near the end. We don’t totally spoil this. However, Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga spoilers reveal you have to see their final Eurovision performance. The song and staging came out great. And we’re seriously tempted to see if it’s available for sale.
Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga spoilers surprises
Recently, we saw an interview with Demi Lovato, who plays Katiana Lindsdóttir in the movie. She spoke with Kelly Clarkson about being a part of the movie, as well as how she didn’t think of having to use an accent in the movie until the last minute. She might have been low-key overstating her participation in the movie with that tidbit, but we have to say her final moment in the movie is hilarious and totally worth it. This is seriously a funny movie all the way around with a feel-good message. And we’re sure everyone can use a little of that, right?
