CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers tease that star Peter Bergman is saying out loud something we’ve all been thinking for a long time now: his character Jack belongs with the one true love of his live, Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford). While these two have certainly had their fair shares of ups and downs in the past, there’s no denying that they are a very electrifying couple. Here’s what Peter has to say!

Speaking to Soap Opera Digest in a new interview, the handsome actor said that if there’s one storyline that he would love to revisit again, it’s one that involves Jack and Phyllis again. Seeing how these two characters come from very different worlds, there’s no denying that there’s something about them that makes them such a passionate, yet also a complicated couple.

When asked about his favorite ‘Young and the Restless’ pairing of all time, Peter told the publication, “My favorite would probably be Jack and Phyllis, two of the least likely characters to find each other, falling in love. No one expected it and everyone loved it. I’ve had some really fun days with Michelle Stafford.”

There you have it folks: if even Peter Bergman wants Jack and Phyllis back together again, you know it’s destined to happen. Seeing how Jack is currently single and how Phyllis’ romance with Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will soon combust, there’s no reason why these two love birds can’t get back together again, right? Until that happens, we will just have to keep our fingers crossed and of course, keep watching!
