British Royal Family News finds that it has been revealed that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry will be remaining in Canada for the foreseeable future, which means an end to the rumours that the couple were about to move back to the United Kingdom to be closer to the family during the Coronavirus pandemic.
Many experts believed that the outbreak of COVID-19 could have brought the royal family back closer together. Prince Harry was reportedly looking at coming back to the UK as he wanted to be closer to his father, who is considered vulnerable by experts during the pandemic.
British Royal Family News: Couple To Stay In Canada
While it was a long-shot that the couple were going to move back to the UK, some would still be disappointed that the current crisis couldn’t bring them back together. Meghan and Harry will remain in their rented home in Canada, with members of their security staff for the next month at least.
The couple would certainly be delighted to be reunited with baby Archie, after spending a number of months apart during Meghan and Harry’s final UK tour a few weeks ago. Life in the royal family continues as normal to a degree, with both the Queen and Prince Charles working in virtual offices.
British Royal Family News: Royals In Self-Isolation
For the royal family that have remained in the UK, there will be a period of adaption over the coming weeks. Prince Charles, Queen Elizabeth and Prince Phillip have all been self-isolating for the past number of weeks as they are all over the age of 70. However, the remainder of the population now is in lock-down, unless they work in a key role outlined by the government.
The issue has become so serious that the Queen is also expected to address the nation at some point this week. That would mark only the fourth time during her reign that she has done such a thing. It is unknown at present what Prince William and Kate are doing during this time, but the whole country will be boosted by a message from Her Majesty.
