ABC ‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers indicate the PCPD might need a change. We’ve been iffy on Jordan Ashford (Brianna Nicole Henry) for a long time. And this Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) situation has made us even more unsure of her fitness for the job. But who should step in? Let’s take a look.

ABC ‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: In her defense!

We’ll be fair and start off by saying we do think she’s a better commissioner than Hope Brady (Kristen Alfonso) from Days of Our Lives. Sure, it’s a low bar, but it is the truth. We can’t think of too many bad guys she arrested that walked almost the second she brought them in. She also can be a little more more likable and entertaining than Hope. But there’s also a lot of issues.

ABC ‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: The case against her!

Having said that, let’s get to the bad. First of all, she showed a lot of bad judgement recently. The fact she didn’t tell T.J. Ashford (Tajh Bellow) that he could be at risk is unfathomable. Especially when her fellow team members were getting picked off. She knew Renault had more reasons to hate her than any of the others, so the idea her family could be a target should’ve crossed her mind and she should’ve taken precautions.

Two, she showed a lot of naivety and willful stupid by thinking she could get T.J. back on her own if she followed Cyrus’ order. It just doesn’t make sense that she’d trust he’d keep his word after knowing how he operates. She just kept digging herself in deeper, while hypocritically criticizing and refusing help from Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Bernard), clearly the lessor of evils. If she’s left to handle this situation on her own, Port Charles is doomed. But, who should take over?

ABC ‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: New blood!

Much like with Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering), Hope’s ex on Days, we think a partner is the one for the job. Namely, Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner). He has shown that he’s got a cool head during this crisis, and he managed to rescue Trina Robinson (Sydney Mikayla) and Cameron Webber (William Lipton) from Cyrus’ men. He’s also been the one who sees the bigger picture here regarding what’s better for the city. He was all about working together with Marcus Taggert (Real Andrews), Sonny, and Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) to take down a common enemy.

Besides that, he’s got a pretty good record as a PI, and he seems to have good instincts. That’s exactly what the PCPD needs. He’s also not overly eager to take down Sonny, who, let’s face it, is a necessary evil in this town. Until Cyrus came with a massive grudge, Sonny’s kept what Cyrus peddles out of the city. He also doesn’t seem to be the type to just cause mayhem and kill for the hell of it. Every move he makes is needed and carefully thought out. So, really, he’s more of a benefit to the town than a liability. We think this town desperately needs Curtis on the force, so let’s hope the writers make it happen. At least, him working there might help keep Jordan in check a bit. She needs that influence in her professional life. For any other soap opera and entertainment news, please visit Daily Soap Dish.
