ABC ‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers find that we’ve all heard the rumors that the whole baby swap concerning little Wiley Cooper-Jones (Erik and Theo Olson) is going to be revealed soon and things are really going to hit the fan. I’m not sure if Nelle Benson Archer (Chloe Lanier) will go back to jail, but I am pretty sure Julian Jerome (William deVry) and Brad Cooper (Parry Shen) are headed there. Eventually, Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) will get his son back and he’ll be known as Jonah Corinthos again, but there is one person that will be affected that we’re leaving out of this equation.
ABC ‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: What about Willow?
The thing is, Willow Tate (Katelynn MacMullen) has thought of little Wiley as her child, her child with Shiloh Archer (Coby Ryan McLaughlin). A child that has, unfortunately, died. Even though Willow decided early on that she couldn’t raise the child, she still carried that child for nine months and still delivered a baby that was very much alive the first (and possibly last) time she saw it. Since she thought all this time that Wiley was her baby and she had regular access to him through Brad and Lucas, it’s going to be a rude awakening when suddenly the family that she had gotten used to for her baby is ripped away from him.
ABC ‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Will Michael continue to let Willow see Wiley/Jonah?
Now there’s the epic question of the ages. The thing is, Michael Corinthos isn’t on bad terms with Willow, not at all, but after getting his little boy back he may just want some Father Son time and she may lose regular access to the baby that she has thought of as hers for so long. Either way, it’s going to be an adjustment and I am just afraid that it may trigger memories of losing her baby again, the thing is, I don’t know if she’s ever directly confronted that grief.
ABC ‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Has Willow properly grieved for her baby?
One could argue that yes because she and Michael Corinthos met outside a grief counselor’s office but that was before she had hope that her baby was alive and had been adopted by loving parents. Her emotions have been jerked around. First she was happy and relieved that her child was alive and had been adopted, and then she was thrown into the depths of despair because of something that Shiloh might pull to try and get him back and then she gets the news that Shiloh has no genetic ties to the baby which means… he’s not hers. Has she ever fully processed that?
ABC ‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Willow needs some TLC
If she has we haven’t seen it, and let’s face it, the girl has been through a lot. The girl needs to sit down and have time to grieve for her baby and process everything that has happened to her. It’s not every day that one gives birth to a baby by a cult leader, said baby dies, she finds out the baby is alive and then has to put her own life and career on the line in order to save a baby that she thought was hers… but it turns out that it wasn’t? Talk about having your emotions flayed alive.
ABC ‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Here’s what we can hope for
I hope that Michael won’t group her in with Brad and Julian and think that she was part of the reason his son was kept from him. But since she kind of knows that that’s Michael’s son I fear for the chewing out that she will get from Michael. Granted, she was just trying to keep the boy from Shiloh and then by proxy, Nelle, but we don’t know how Michael is going to take that. Right now he has no idea that his son is alive and that may be detrimental to little Wiley/Jonah and Wilow’s relationship. Have mercy on Willow, somebody. To see how this really plays out I guess we’ll have to stay tuned!!!
