ABC ‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers reveal Peter August (Wes Ramsey) has a long and convoluted history on the dark side. The son of villain Ceaser Faison (Anders Hove) and Anna Devane (Finola Hughes), he supposedly was left in a boarding school for years. Uncared for, and looked down on. This supposedly informed his later grudge against both parents, one of which he killed. He’s claimed to want to live a better life, but is his past even darker than we know?
ABC ‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Changed man?
Peter seems like a decent guy on the surface. He’s great with kids, from what we’ve seen. We do think he’s also genuinely in love with Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) and wants the best for her. He also can’t help wanting to be in her life, even if he might ultimately do her more harm than good. Let’s take a look at his latest mess and why it didn’t need to happen. As well as why it might have been inevitable.
ABC ‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: On the trail
So, we know Peter is desperate to keep his past in the past. ‘General Hospital’ spoilers indicate he’s even stooped to murder to make it happen. Unfortunately, he might not be able to save himself for long. Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) and Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) are not going to sit idly by as she continues to pay for a crime she didn’t commit. Well, in the technical sense. And neither one of them will forget Peter is possibly responsible for Drew Cain’s (Billy Miller) death. But he really didn’t have to go this far.
ABC ‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Overreacting
It seems Shiloh (Coby Ryan McLaughlin) started his return to the dark side. He blackmailed him with a war-time memory of Peter being involved in Drew’s memory loss. We’re not sure why that matters at this point. Everyone knew he was involved in the memory procedures, along with the fact he held Jason Morgan hostage for five years, some of that around the time he participated in what went down with Drew.
We think he should’ve come clean on it all. General Hospital spoilers indicate Maxie is so smitten with this guy, she would have forgiven that. And we’re sure she would have gotten others to as well. By not just facing the rest of his past, he’s put his future at risk. After all, what’s easier? Admit another mistake from that same time period or the mess he’s made now? Seriously. Hiring assassins and blackmail ain’t easy, or cheap.
ABC ‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Inevitable?
We think Peter didn’t just own up because a part of him never really wanted to leave that past behind. Recent episodes show his reach is great, and he’s got a lot of power. Jordan Ashford (Brianna Nicole Henry) and Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers) were both surprised and confused at how the Feds came in and took over after they were ready to let Sam walk. Then, there were the coordinated attacks on Drew and Andre Maddox (Anthony Montgomery). That also takes connections and influences, so it seems he’s still holding on to some of his father’s ties. He also hired a guy he worked with at a DVX shell company, David Black (Lon Gowan) to kill Andre before he could perform the procedure. At the last second, he stepped in to look like a big hero. But then, we have Tuesday’s episode.
Sam and Jason have tried to strike a deal regarding her situation. All they had to do was provide something against Peter. They did their part, as the DVX link Anna was so intent on hiding got exposed. However, a mysterious phone call by Peter was quickly followed by Robert returning to say the deal is off. Sounds like someone pulled yet another string that’s likely thanks to his shady father and the DVX. Sometimes, a person just doesn’t want to be saved and we think Peter is one of them.
