    ABC ‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers indicate a rocky road to redemption. Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) did terrible things in his quest for the Cassadine fortune. So much so, Laura Webber (Genie Francis) told Jasper Jacks (Ingo Radmacher) Nikolas broke her heart. She even warned Jax against working with Nikolas again, because the Cassadine money corrupts people. While Laura is hesitant, she at least seems willing to speak to her son. It won’t be that easy where someone else is involved.

    ‘General Hospital’ spoilers: The return

    We’ve speculated before on when Spencer Cassadine (Nicolas Bechtel) will return, and who would play if when he did. We’re happy to say that Nicolas is still in the part and we saw him in action Monday, January 20th. The actor actually posted on social media to mark his return.

    With so much time away, it was iffy on how things would go. And the complicated circumstances left a lot of questions. We’ve gotta say, we’re happy with how things turned out. We were also surprised by Ava Jerome (Maura West). So, what went down?

    If Nikolas expected a joyful reunion, he was wrong. ‘General Hospital’ spoilers indicate it started out that way. Spencer was clearly shocked to see him, yet obviously happy. That is, until he learned the full story. The idea Nikolas purposefully stayed away for years in hopes of getting the Cassadine fortune back hurt. He confronted Nikolas about it and refused to take any excuses. Eventually, Spencer stormed out of the room in anger. But before he did, Ava showed some real compassion.

    So, maybe she didn’t pull out a save, but she tried. ‘General Hospital’ spoilers indicate Nikolas decided to take a quick breather during his fight with Spencer. Ava took the opportunity to speak from experience. She told Spencer what a great gift he just received, and she actually defended Nikolas. We’re both surprised and impressed with her over that. Lord knows, she’d have every reason to help fuel Spencer’s rage. Nikolas did psychologically torture her as part of his mission. However, we have to give her props. She put that all aside to advocate for Nikolas. But will Spencer listen?

    ‘General Hospital’ spoilers: Looking ahead

    We think he will. At least, it’ll happen eventually. We’re glad for that. Nikolas’ return to good graces shouldn’t be easy, and we applaud the writers for going there. Even Laura and Lulu are holding him accountable still, despite them being a little more forgiving than Spencer. We’re looking forward to how this one will play out in the days and weeks ahead.
