ABC ‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers reveal Cari Shayne (Karen) has been absent from the scene for quite a while. There were very personal reasons for her long absence from TV, but it looks like 2020 is shaping up to be a different story. Although Shayne enjoyed a successful career on Daytime for a while, another purpose soon took priority. She spoke candidly to the magazine about stepping out of the spotlight to care for her autistic son. It’s an admirable move, and something hard to do. There are plenty of people out there who might have taken another route when faced with such a challenge, including hiring help to take over most of the duties. But Shayne proved what she’s made of by taking on the responsibility herself. We love that. But it seems that things have changed since the day she made that choice.

ABC ‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Fresh Start
She’s back. ‘General Hospital’ spoilers indicate we won’t be seeing her back in Port Charles for now, but she’s keeping busy with another project: The Bay. Apparently, the show’s been around for quite some time and is a real winner in the eyes of the industry. It’s garnered plenty of awards since the web series debuted and there’s a new season currently airing. Amazon Prime viewers can see her playing Dr. Genevieve Cates. Her character will shake things up when she delivers some interesting news. Interestingly enough, the show stars ‘Days of Our Lives’ Mary Beth Evans (Kayla Brady), and the actress spoke candidly of her experience on set with the Daytime star. Apparently, Mary Beth Evans is not the only Daytime alum that’s taken part in the show. Matthew Ashford (Jack Deveraux, Days of Our Lives) also is credited as part of the series. On the show’s official Twitter account, we learned someone else is soon coming to the series: Andrea Evans. Viewers might remember her as Tina Lord on One Life to Live. We remember seeing her in action from time to time while family watched the ABC shows. We look forward to learning more about this series and seeing Cari Shayne in action.
