2020’s beginning to smile on lovers of horror movies as Netflix is set to drop their favorite genre. The coming year will be filled with series of horror movies and shows – more than y’all can handle. The Ring: Starts showing on January 1st
The Ring is a horror classic by Naomi Watts and will start streaming just before the bells say “It’s a new year.” The Ring follows a newspaper reporter played by Naomi, who is investigating a jinxed videotape that predicts the death of everyone that views it.
The Haunting of Hill House: Date is yet to be announced
The Haunting of Hill House anthology returns to Netflix come 2019. The new season is based on Henry James’ novella titled The Turn of the Screw (1898).
Omniscient: Starts Showing On January 29th
This new Netflix horror series follows a murder that is committed in a society. In this society, drones monitor everything, but these drones couldn’t just capture the act, and everyone in the society becomes a suspect.
Shilling Adventures of Sabrina: Starts showing on January 24th
In this new season, teenage witch, Sabrina (Kiernan Shipka) and the gang are back with new drama.
What Lies Beneath: Starts showing on January 1st
This movie follows a married couple played by Michelle Pfeiffer and Harrison Ford. The couple are torn apart when he wife begins to hear voices in their lakeside home.
Raising Cain: Starts showing on January 30th
Raising Cain follows a child psychologist, who after finding out that his wife is seeing someone else, develops a personality split between a 7 year-old boy, a nanny, and a merciless thug. He begins to kidnap children to use them for experiments on multiple personality disorder.
Army of the dead: Date is not yet announced
This is a sequel to the flick Dawn of the Dead (2004). It picks up six years following a zombie plague in Las Vegas.
Ares: Starts showing on 17th January
This is a Netherlands Psychological horror series that follows two friends who are seduced by wealth and power but are trapped in a demonic place.
