'Young and the Restless' Spoilers: Cane & Lily's Final Ever Episode Together - Saying Goodbye to Daniel Goddard!

‘Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Big Announcement on ‘Young and the Restless’

‘Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers finds that this week was rocked by a huge announcement . We are saddened by this news and we wanted to share it with all of you. In case you haven’t seen it yet, Daniel Goddard has made a big announcement – he will no longer be on the Young and the Restless.

‘Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Saying Goodbye to Cane Ashby

This news comes to us all as a bit of a shock. Goddard, who plays Cane Ashby on ‘Young and the Restless’, announced via Instagram that he is leaving the show. He posted a picture and the caption read: “My dearest, beloved friends…tomorrow is the end of an era, and so we humbly invite you to join us in watching ‘Young and the Restless’ for Cane and Lily’s final episode together.”

Goddard has been on the show as Cane since 2007. He has been very vocal on social media about leaving the show and another post read: “I am as shocked and gutted as you are. I almost didn’t want to post but I felt that the most loyal and loving fans an actor could wish for deserved to know and watch the last story arc knowing the rich meaning behind it.”

This is not the first time that he has left the show. In fact, in 2011, his character was killed off the show and he was let go. The number of fan protests and fan support made the producers realize that he was loved so they hired him back. There have been some new story lines developing with Cane recently, but now we are unsure of what is going to happen to him.

Will he be killed off again or will he run away? The final episode will air tomorrow and we can only hope that the ending will be something that keeps us on the edge of our seats. Just knowing that this will be his last episode is sad enough, but now we are going to be sure to not miss a moment as we bid Cane Ashby goodbye.
