‘Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) Spoilers is saying that now that the news is out about Daniel Goddard’s exit, a lot of fans can’t help but wonder what this means for his on-screen alter-ego, Cane Ashby. In fact, ‘Young and the Restless’ spoilers tease that things won’t be looking so good for Cane in the coming weeks, especially now that there are more and more people in Genoa City that know he is a multi-billionaire in the making. It came as a shock to just about everyone when the news broke that Daniel Goddard will no longer be playing Cane Ashby on the hit CBS soap, The Young and the Restless. As a matter of fact, it appeared to come as a surprise to the actor himself, who apparently was blindsided by the decision. Daniel had been a part of ‘Young and the Restless’ cast since his debut in 2006 and was well liked by his co-stars and even well received by critics and his fans, too.

However, it looks like producers of the show had different plans for Cane. Seeing how the character is currently a man on a mission to find out the real truth about Katherine Chancellor’s will, there’s a good chance that things won’t end well for him. In fact, he’s become somewhat of a target. There are several people in Genoa City that want to get their hands on Cane and in some cases, his new fortune, too. Some of those people include Devon Hamilton (Bryton James), Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) and even his ex-wife, Lily Winters (Christel Khalil).
It’s without a doubt that fans will definitely miss seeing Daniel on the canvas each and every day. As far as his character is concerned, producers have not said whether they plan on killing him off or if he will be recast.
