‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers reveal that the Cassadine/Reeves union isn’t the only one with a shadow of deception hanging over it. Peter August’s (Wes Ramsey) relationship with Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) is also at risk. The Tuesday, October 29th episode shows just how precarious his position is. Here’s what you need to know.
‘General Hospital’ spoilers: Tension mounting
He and Maxie already had an issue in the previous episode. She was none too happy to learn he was passing on the chance to get that condo Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) was trying to sell him. They fight about it more today, with Maxie sure that he isn’t as committed as he seemed. She’s also not happy that he’s been spending a lot of their discussion obsessively checking for news on the Frankendrew (Roger Howarth) hearing. It’s a stupid move that calls too much attention his way, and makes him look indifferent to Maxie. You know, the person he’s trying to hold on to. Seriously. It’s called playing it cool.
‘General Hospital’ spoilers: Banking on a savior
Peter is in a bad position for more reasons than one. He’s not only making Maxie wonder what’s going on, but he’s putting all his hopes on outside factors. Frankendrew winning his case and not going through with the procedure Elizabeth Webber (Rebecca Herbst) wants is the only thing that’s going to keep those Drew Cain (Billy Miller) memories from getting stronger and exposing his part in the events in Afghanistan. Not a very stable thing.
He’s also complicating his situation with all the other crimes he’s committed in hopes of hiding a past misdeed. Seriously? What would be more damning to his relationship with Maxie: knowing what he did then, or killing someone now? Not to mention framing Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco), getting Wiley kidnapped by helping Shiloh (Coby Ryan McLaughlin) escape, and nearly having Andre Maddox (Anthony Montgomery) murdered.
‘General Hospital’ spoilers: Open mouth, insert foot
Of course, there was something else today. After explaining away the hearing obsession by talking about online polls and scooping the competition, he comments that Frankendrew staying this way is a good outcome for everyone. Maxie Jones disagrees. After all, Elizabeth and her kids are surely devastated by the ruling. Careless statements like that tend to bring about the inevitable.
