Abe Carver (James Reynolds) is one of Salem’s most-loved residents, and it’s easy to see why. The actor oozes charm and charisma. Unfortunately for Abe, luck hasn’t been smiling on him. The ill-fated re-election campaign was just the beginning. He’s also had to content with Lani Price’s (Sal Stowers) relationship issues stemming from her lost son, and his own break-up with Valerie Grant (Vanessa Williams). And let’s not forget all the drama he dealt with working with Sheila Watkins (Tionne Watkins). He could only go up from here, right?

‘Days of Our Lives’ spoilers: New beginning
Maybe not so much. His position with DiMera hasn’t exactly gone well, either. After being reluctant to take the job, he decided maybe a change was just what was needed to rebound from all the setbacks. Little did he know, he was going to have to deal with the drama surrounding Not-Nicole Walker (Arianne Zucker) as she failed to live up to Stefan DiMera’s expectations. Now, with Stefan facing kidnapping charges, we think he’s got some serious soul-searching to do.

If anyone can help save Stefan from the bad PR he’ll surely get, it’s going to be Abe. This guy can make anyone believe almost anything. But with more DiMeras set to return soon, will he want to? That’s a big question he’s going to be forced to answer in the coming days and weeks. We’re expecting him to rise to the challenge, should he accept it. Knowing how much Abe loves justice and fairness, we’re pretty sure he’s going to stick it out for at least a little while.

Another part we’re expecting Abe to play has to do with a promo that recently came out where Gabi Hernandez (Camila Banus) is asking someone to marry her and Stefan. We’re betting on Abe. Even though he’s not mayor anymore, we’re sure he’s still at least ordained, and it wouldn’t be the first time he was asked to perform a ceremony.
