‘Days of Our Lives’ (DOOL) spoilers have revealed that Salem is officially saying goodbye to another resident. Tripp Dalton (Lucas Adams) will be saying farewell, as the rumors of Adams’ departure broke recently. Here’s what you need to know.
‘Days of Our Lives’ (DOOL) Spoilers: Mass exodus
Adams is one of several actors getting let go in recent months, including that of his on-screen ex, Claire Brady (Olivia Rose Keegan). Like the upcoming exit of Rex Brady (Kyle Lowder) all reports are saying that the exit is dictated by story. He’s definitely been mixed up in some crazy stuff lately, so it’s no surprise this would lead to a farewell.
‘Days of Our Lives’ spoilers: Love triangle
The rumors online are suggesting a possible love triangle between him, Haley Chen (Thia Megia), and JJ Deveraux (Casey Moss). We’re not sure about this one. There’s a bunch of reasons why this is a bad idea. One being the fact that we already have a love triangle going on with Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey), who is torn between Rex and his brother, Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan).
We also very recently had the Will Horton (Chandler Massey)/Sonny Kiriakis (Freddie Smith)/Paul Narita (Christopher Sean). Let’s not forget also Jennifer Horton (Melissa Reeves)/Eve Donovan (Kassie DePaiva)/Jack Deveraux (Matthew Ashford), as well as Hope Brady (Kristian Alfonso)/Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering)/Ted Laurent (Gilles Marini). Now that the Brady/Hernandez marriage is over, we’re also seeing hints of attraction between Ted and Kate DiMera (Lauren Koslow). This is getting a bit out of hand, wouldn’t you agree?
Another reason is, why end things with possible bad blood between two cousins who’ve been supporting each other through the whole situation with Haley? We really can’t see him suddenly falling for her. Even if the other rumor is true.
‘Days of Our Lives’ spoilers: Forcing things?
Word has it that Haley’s PTSD over Claire’s murder attempt is going to trigger this possible connection between them. When we’ve seen Haley, she’s been head-over-heels for JJ and throwing herself back into her second chance at life in America. By contrast, we’ve seen Tripp stressing over the rent and feeling lots of guilt over how badly he handled things. Sure, Haley’s felt bad, too, and certainly feels guilt as well, but it’s seemed more obvious and regular with Tripp.
In addition to this, Tripp has been actually harmed the most, and was the direct object of Claire’s obsession. He was also manipulated many times by her, and has had to eat crow over blaming Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson) for all those fires. By far, he was the closest to Claire, besides Ciara Brady (Victoria Konefal) as well. It feels so much more logical for him to be suffering from PTSD and needing a breather than to have him needing to leave over a love triangle.
