Eve is convinced that Ben is guilty and wants to throw him in the hoosegow for a long time. She really wants him to pay for what he did to her daughter, Paige, since she apparently didn’t get enough closure for that back in the day. (I guess one can’t exactly argue there, if you had to look at your daughter’s killer walking around every day with their lives intact then closure wouldn’t be the first word to come to mind either.)
Now that Eve is police commissioner, the evidence doesn’t exactly matter anymore, her vendetta does. Claire is on pins and needles, but has faith in Eve to handle the whole thing. Eve has totally underestimated Claire and thinks she’s not a threat, but neither is a baby Copperhead until you step on it, Eve! However, Eve’s not the only person in town, Ciara will realize Claire’s dangerous tendencies and will hatch a plot to catch her in the act.

Poor Haley and Tripp will be revived just in time for ICE to slap the cuffs on them, but they’ll be in for a hospital visit first to repair the smoke inhalation in their lungs. JJ will show up at the hospital to be there for Haley and we’ll finally get some sweet, JJ/Haley moments together.
Awww, however they’ll be brief because unfortunately true love doesn’t wipe away immigration laws. JJ will be glad that Haley’s still alive and he’ll even offer some hope. He thinks that there must be a loophole they can find to keep her in the country, and maybe the key to finding that loophole lies within Melinda Trask.

The fur will fly however when Jennifer finds out about this, she hates the fact that Eve is police commissioner, a job that she feels gives her way too much power. She will really let Eve have it but unfortunately Eve won’t be in the mood for listening, she’s not too into the whole ‘how am I doing’ thing. (My guess is the suggestion box is located directly inside the first stall of the ladies room at the Salem PD.) Still, it’ll feel so good to see Jennifer totally read Eve for all she’s worth, I can’t wait!
Will and Sonny inform Gabi of their plans to remarry each other. Under normal circumstances this would be exciting news, but instead Gabi is sad that she’s going to lose her friend and that little Arianna Horton is going to lose one of her Dads. Will just wants to make the rest of his time with Sonny count on this earth, and he thinks by getting remarried to Sonny that will at least grant his husband the peace of mind. Will these two stop breaking my heart? Stay tuned!!!
