‘Days of Our Lives’ (DOOL) Spoilers: Looney Claire Gets Away Scot Free, Eve Throws Kitchen Sink At Ben For Horton Cabin Fire
Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) is thrown today in the wake of learning that Eli Grant (Lamon Archey) has broken up with Lani Price (Sal Stowers). He intends to comfort her, but Lani has other ideas. She thinks that, as both of them are now free agents, they can raise David together. Rafe is now even more shocked, and very concerned.
And we’re fighting the urge not to scream, “We told you so” at the television. He does his best to bring her back to reality, and it works. It also gives Lani a bit of a mental breakdown, as she realizes that she’s been trying to replace her lost son.
She feels terrible and begs forgiveness of her lost kid before agreeing that it’s best to say goodbye to little David now. Rafe suggests trying to work things out with Eli, but she’s a little worried this might not work. He’s a bit busy right now, anyway, but we’ll get to that later.
Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers: Frame job
Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson) has just arrived at Smith Island to find the Horton Cabin going up in flames. We fight the urge to yell at him for knocking something aside and leaving his fingerprints at the scene, but he does have the presence of mind in this situation to use a cloth to pick up the lighter left behind by Claire Brady (Olivia Rose Keegan).
Eli, having come across Ciara Brady (Victoria Konefal) and Rory (Kevin Riggin) arguing, has also made his way there. He and his officers find Ben at the scene and place him under arrest, then Eli manages to get into the cabin. He finds Tripp Dalton (Lucas Adams) and Hayley Chen (Thia Megia) unconscious. When he gets them outside, Tripp comes around, but Haley had suffered an injury to the head while trying to escape the flames, so it takes her longer to wake up. When she does, Eli says, “You’re under arrest.”
‘Days of Our Lives’ (DOOL) Spoilers:
Meanwhile, Ben has been brought back to Salem, where he is being interrogated by Eve Donovan (Kassie DePaiva). She offers him the chance to have a lawyer present, which he declines. He says he’s got nothing to hide. Again, we’re head desking so hard right now, we might have just gotten a concussion. Lucky for Ben, this “interview” would be hell to doctor out all the impropriety (and obvious vindictiveness) by Eve. Plus, the tape is filled with all the reasons why Claire is the guilty party, both this time and with Ciara’s fire.
While all that is going on, Ciara is still freaking out about Ben having taken off so suddenly. She’s back where she had left Ben when Claire comes along. She questions Claire about what she might know about this, but Claire just does everything possible to make it sound like Ben is snapping. Ciara refuses to believe it, but who knows what will happen next, as she gets the news of the cabin fire and Ben’s arrest on her phone.
Days of Our Lives spoilers: Last wish
Sonny Kiriakis (Freddie Smith) is a desperate man now that Will Horton (Chandler Massey) has only days left. So much so, he threatened Eve’s life if she didn’t cough up that diary last time. Today, she calls him out on threatening the commissioner like that, but he doesn’t care. Will’s in serious danger, and Sonny will do everything possible to save him. He even breaks down, which clearly moves Eve. Unfortunately, she doesn’t have the diary, so she has to disappoint Sonny.
Later on, she calls Xander Cook (Paul Telfer) and demands that diary, or he’ll be sorry. Xander doesn’t seem worried, as Eve’s calls go unanswered.
Back at the hospital, Kate DiMera (Lauren Koslow) and Roman Brady (Josh Taylor) are dealing with the devastating news when Will wakes up. He’d overheard part of the conversation and says that he wants them to accept what’s going to happen. He also has another wish. When Sonny comes back with the bad news about the diary, they have some time alone.
Will uses this to say that he doesn’t regret taking that serum, as it let them love each other again. He also has decided that he doesn’t want Sami Brady (Alison Sweeney) to come back to Salem for a funeral. He’d rather they be celebrating a wedding. He proposes to Sonny, and it looks like we’ll be having at least something happy in town. Well… for as long as it lasts. These writers are evil, after all.
