‘Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers star Christel Khalil (Lily Winters) recently opened up about seeing her character leave Genoa City after her marriage to Cane (Daniel Goddard) fell apart. The actress also had some interesting things to say about Cane’s potential relationship with another woman in his life. Here’s what she has to say.

Speaking about Cane and Lily’s divorce, Christel told Soaps.com in an interview, “I think it was a valid reason. There’s been a lot of infidelity in their relationship. This was at a point where she’s in prison, locked up, away from her family and kids and everything she knows. So it’s a very vulnerable place to be in and then to have Cain do something like that, I think it made a lot of sense to get divorced.”

If that weren’t enough, Christell also opened up about the prospect of seeing Cane and Traci (Beth Maitland) together. Even though a lot of people don’t think that this is a good idea, some are open to the idea. She told the site, “I’m all for it. I think there are so many times [in soaps] when you have an older man and a younger woman. What’s funny is that they’re actually closer in age than Daniel and I were. When our characters started getting together, I was 19 and he was 35. It’s funny how when it’s an older man, we don’t think anything of it. When it’s an older woman, we are so weirded out by it. So I actually love it. I think it’s great.”
Christel’s got a good point there, doesn’t she? Now whether or not there’s a chance for Lily and Cane in the future remains to be seen. For now, it will be interesting to see exactly what happens between Cane and Traci. Needless to say, fans will have to tune in to find out what will happen next!
