‘Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers for Monday, July 12 find Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) surprising everyone with a video at his custody hearing for Christian. Michael Bennett (Christian LeBlanc) relays bad news for Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) while Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) is concerned about Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) and his plans. Meanwhile, Lauren Fenmore (Tracey Bergman) wants answers from Kevin Fisher (Greg Rikaart).
‘Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) Spoilers, Monday July 22: Adam Scores Huge Win, Exposes Nick In Big Way – Inches Closer To Regaining Custody Of Christian!
It begins at Nick’s where Chelsea Newman (Melissa Claire Egan) is complementing him for his parenting skills with Christian. Over at Crimson Lights, Michael takes a phone call from Adam. He says he wishes he could be there when he delivers his bad news to Nick. Later on, Michael tells Nick that he has a conflict of interest and that he needs to excuse himself from the case. Nick doesn’t believe him. Lauren appears the same moment Nick storms out of the room. She doesn’t believe what he has to say either, with Michael making a comment about how he’s not getting much support from her lately.

At the penthouse, Adam gets off the phone with Michael. He asks Kevin if he’s good to go. Kevin doesn’t like it that he’s been forced into this. Back at Nick’s, he tells Chelsea what had just happened. He thinks that Adam might be behind it. Chelsea still thinks that he needs representation.
At their suite, Nikki is exciting about her upcoming romantic holiday with Victor. Victor says not to worry because Nick has everything under control. Nikki is still not convinced but books herself a massage. Victor tells Nikki that he wants to stop his treatments. Nikki understands what he is going through but it still worried about the future and their family.
‘Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) Spoilers: Adam’s Major Power-play Crushes Nick
At Society, Adam meets with his lawyer. Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) appears and thinks that Adam is up to no good. Elsewhere, Kevin meets with Lauren at Crimson Lights. Lauren starts asking him questions about Michael. She wants to know why Michael walked away from Nick’s case. Kevin tells her that he’s got nothing to say but that she should trust her husband. Phyllis then joins Lauren. She can’t help but grill Phyllis about Adam. Phyllis says that she told him to drop the custody case. Lauren worries that if Nick loses the case Michael will never be able to forgive himself for letting him down.
In the courtroom, Nick introduces himself to the judge. It begins with Nick explaining what Adam did to the paternity test. He says that Adam gave up his parental rights and that Nick is the only father that Christian has ever known. When Adam speaks, he talks about his amnesia. His lawyer’s phone beeps. The judge then watches a movie of Nick in a JT mask, with Adam explaining how Nick was always a terror to the family.
