So, there’s been a big plot line involving Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) and how he killed someone as a child. Only he didn’t know it. When this became known to certain people, Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) didn’t waste a minute.
He jumped headfirst in paying for an article exposing all the evils of the Newman family, and the thing is? He may have been motivated by personal feelings, but the story was apparently 100% accurate. So, he clearly wasn’t worried about putting it out there. Others weren’t so sure.

Obviously, ‘Young and the Restless’ spoilers reveal the article caused a huge stir for the Newman family. Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) ended up questioned about the murder he covered up, while Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) was upset with Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) for her part in the article.
To her credit, Victoria did get a bit upset about how her father came out in the piece. However, in the end she agreed with Billy—this is what she wanted. Of course, there was also a price to pay with Victor himself, who confronted her. Here’s where things get fun, though.

The scenes with Billy and his co-workers were awesome. He spent most of the episode getting called out for putting this article out there without first getting the all-clear from legal.
Both Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) and Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) accused him of putting the company at risk. Plus, the big scene with Victoria. But, this shows how things have changed in the media world.
See, later on, Lily had a change of heart. The woman who was furious and thinking he just destroyed their entire operation suddenly was glad he did it. Why? The Young and the Restless spoilers reveal a metrics report came back with great news.
People were loving the story, so the objections were suddenly not as much of a problem. Sure, she admitted they had a few legal challenges to take care of. And Lily did warn him not to go off on his own again, but she did it with this look on her face that said a different story.
One that valued the big views (and the money that comes with it) more than the principles she argued for earlier. It’s basically the way of things, but we were surprised to see it shown so openly.
