‘Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers indicate that star Jason Thompson (Billy Abbott) is opening up about his character’s on-screen grief. Ever since Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) returned to Genoa City, Billy just can’t stop thinking about the way he killed his daughter, Delia. Here’s what Jason Thompson has to say.
‘Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Star Jason Thompson Opens Up About Billy’s Deadly Grief
Speaking to TV Insider, the actor tells the site, “Part of why I was definitely intrigued and excited about it is because, I, as Jason, haven’t been able to portray any sort of bigger story line as far as Delia and dealing with her loss goes. The trauma doesn’t go away. He’s trying to ‘unpack’ his emotional and mental state related to all this.”

And while Adam is technically to blame for Delia’s death, Jason says that what Billy is grieving is what had happened plus a combination of his own guilt. He added, “He’s had moments where he’s acknowledged that. That doesn’t mean the switch is hit emotionally. You never get away from something this tragic. It doesn’t matter who is at fault. It’s this thing inside him that Billy has not gotten a handle on in a healthy way. He holds Adam responsible. Is that right or wrong? It doesn’t matter. Billy’s not caring what’s right or wrong these days. He holds Adam accountable.”

With that said, we have a feeling that things are going to get more worse for Billy before they get better. He’s hellbent on getting rid of Adam Newman but right now it doesn’t look like that’s going to happen anytime soon. Adam has a new plan in mind and seeing how everyone is out to get him, he’s definitely going to remain on his toes. Now, as far as Billy is concerned, fans will just have to tune in to see what will happen next!
