‘Young and the Restless’ spoilers tease that Nikki Newman’s (Melody Thomas Scott) recovery, which began on Christmas Eve, is linked to Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) freedom. Nikki has the capacity to role-switch with her husband now that he’s been formally charged with J.T.’s (Thad Luckinbill) murder.

‘Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Nikki’s Recovery Linked To Victor’s Innocence

Y&R can write Nikki as Victor’s hero. She’ll fall on her sword to save her gentlemen in distress, as is relayed to Vickie (Amelia Heinle). The dilemma that’s been established sees Victor innocent of killing Mr. Hellstrom. Whether the Moustache is the one who moved his body, or paid one of his goons to do so remains in doubt. The robotic brute who was meandering through Genoa City in the ambulance with Nikki and Nate (Brooks Darnell) aboard could also have dug up J.T.’s rotting corpse and secured it elsewhere, right?

It remains conceivable that Victor knows nothing about Nikki, or the coverup crew, while also having learned at some point that J.T. was buried in Chancellor Park. Why he would have ordered the dead man’s move would surely prove intriguing.

‘Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Rey Doesn’t Have Enough On Victor

It’s possible that Nikki won’t need to act in an aggressive manner right now. She’s still in the early stages of her recovery from the hit-and-run accident. A meet-up with Reed (Tristan Lake Leabu) will need to take place, during which hearts will heal, as Nikki already heard her grandson’s admission while she was playing piano in the unconscious world.

Rey (Jordi Vilasuso) doesn’t appear to have enough hard evidence to make his murder charge against Victor stick. Michael’s (Christian Le Blanc) legal response should provide bail and a coming charge-drop. However, savvy fans would think that what’s happened will force Nikki’s actions to be revealed, whether through investigation, by accident, or by her own admission.

‘Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Other ‘Y&R’ Spoilers

The weekday grind of producing a one-hour long, daytime drama series requires an executive producer and that person’s head writer to be creative. In order to present fresh takes on beloved, but well-worn characters new approaches are often taken. That’s why Nikki’s presumed role as Victor’s defender makes sense at this point in Y&R’s long and storied history.

Nikki must help to free Victor so he doesn’t go to jail for an act that wasn’t even a crime. Her motherly instincts caused Victoria to be saved from whatever J.T. was about to do to the woman he was obsessed with last April.

Nikki’s head conk and desire to cover up what happened started this storyline. So it would make sense for her to spark its end.
