WWE Raw aired on the USA Network last night, and fans were handed a shocking moment during the show as Braun Strowman emerged in Raw Underground. The segment has been ridiculed for weeks, with some fans claiming that it is too similar to MMA and reminds them of Fight Club. However, Shane McMahon has persisted with the idea, and there is now a star on the show.
Raw Underground is a strange concept anyway, and fans who like both WWE and MMA are put off by the idea of the segment. It has already been written off by many fans, which made the decision for Braun Strowman to appear on Underground a shocker.
WWE News: Strowman Appears On Raw Underground
Strowman is signed to the SmackDown roster, which makes his arrival on Raw Underground even more confusing. The Monster Among Men will still be licking his wounds after a tough couple of weeks. He lost the Universal Championship to The Fiend at SummerSlam, before then being beaten by Roman Reigns for the championship at the following PPV.
It would seem as though Strowman is now done in the main event scene on SmackDown for a couple of months at least, with a rematch against Reigns looking unlikely. He will also be out of feuding with The Fiend as the match at SummerSlam marked the third time that they had come up against each other. But, could a spell on Raw Underground be beneficial for Strowman?
WWE News: Huge Match Announced
The huge news didn’t stop with Strowman appearing on Raw Underground, as Shane McMahon revealed that the former Universal champion will be taking on Dabba-Kato during next week’s show. Kato has already had a number of run-ins with other main roster stars, with Kevin Owens making a point of not knowing who he was during Raw Talk last week.
He will now get his opportunity to take on one of the biggest stars in the company as he comes up against Strowman. A win for the relatively unknown star could be huge for his career, but could the Monster Among Men really deal with another significant loss on his record so quickly after losing two huge matches on PPV? It’s unlikely. But, this is the most intrigue fans have had on Raw Underground since it was randomly introduced.
