Rumor has it that Meghan Markle has been planning to write an autobiography for a long time. She may want to rethink penning a tell-all memoir.
With Omid Scobie’s “Endgame” release came a mountain of controversy. Lies were told, as Scobie revealed the alleged “royal racists,” which are supposedly King Charles and Kate Middleton.
The Royal Racist Row
Someone supposedly made about Harry and Meghan’s first child, Archie before he was born. Apparently, there was much speculation about how dark his skin would be.
The Dutch version of Scobie’s book contained the royal names. Scobie claims that Meghan wrote a private letter to King Charles, which had the names. Somehow, as if by magic, someone revealed the contents of the letter to Scobie.
Of course, “Endgame” has created upheaval among the royal family, as many accusations were made. Because the majority or all of these accusations had to be made by Meghan, Harry, or both, the Sussexes are on everyone’s s**t list right now.
No one wants to deal with Harry and Meghan anymore, so it would be difficult for Meghan to write a memoir when everyone is plain sick of her.
Even comedian Chris Rock made a joke about the royal racist row.
“ Sometimes it’s just some in-law s**t. Because she’s complaining, I’m like, what the f**k is she talking about? Oprah, they’re so racist they wanted to know how brown the baby was gonna be. I’m like that’s no racist cause Black people want to know how brown the baby is gonna be. S**t we even check behind the ears!”
Scobie’s book has laid a foundation for Meghan to respond to the royal racist row, give her version of the events that unfolded, and maybe give her more insight into the story.
Omid Scobie Says Meghan Markle Isn’t Candid Enough
However, is the US interested in what she has to say? She has already made her point through Scobie. Interestingly, not even Scobie thinks that Meghan doesn’t have what it takes to write a memoir.
According to Omid, Meghan wouldn’t be candid about her experiences, not enough to pen a memoir. He says,
“To gain respect of the reader, you have to completely human in your portrayal, transparent in your portrayal of yourself. It has to be candid, it has to be embarrassing in places; it has to be all of these things to be the true portrait of a human being, rather than the varnished image of a public figure that wants to be seen in a certain way.”
In other words, Meghan’s mouthpiece doesn’t think she is honest enough about herself to write her memoir. Scobie says that Meghan has a
“curated take on what her image is and how it should be.”
In the same way he says that Meghan isn’t capable of being transparent enough to write her own story, he says that Prince Harry is a “very, very candid man.”
Harry’s “Spare” was released in January 2023 and sold at rocket speed, faster than any non-fiction book in history. Would Meghan’s book measure up? Scobie says it would not.
