Biographer for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, Omid Scobie, has some choice words about King Charles and Prince William in his explosive upcoming book, “Endgame.”
Omid Scobie, author of “Finding Freedom,” the 2020 successful book about the Duke and Duchess of Sussex and their dramatic “Megxit from the royal family., claims that King Charles is “unpopular” and Prince Willam is “power hungry.”
“Endgame” Supposedly Investigates the Royal Family for Harry and Meghan
The book is described on Amazon as a
“penetrating investigation into the current state of the British monarchy.”
The advertising blurb goes on to describe King Charles and Prince William.
“An unpopular King, a power-hungry heir to the throne, a queen willing to go to dangerous lengths to preserve her image, and a prince forced to start a new life after being betrayed by his own family.”
The book also suggests that Queen Elizabeth’s death destroyed the already crumbling monarchy and broke through the already fragile protective barrier that surrounded the royal family.
King Charles is considered unpopular because of his affair with Camilla Parker Bowles. He was in love with her before he married Princess Diana, but the royal family did not want an “experienced” woman like Camilla to be Queen.
Camilla had been “intimate” with Charles when they were dating. Therefore, she was no longer a suitable option for him.
So Charles married Diana, but he was never in love with her. The people treasured Princess Diana, and she was known as “ The People’s Princess.” Many people were unhappy about what Charles did to her.
Prince William is well-liked and has the highest approval rating of anyone in the royal family. It’s a bit odd that Scobie would belittle him.
Therefore, Scobie may be “taking a swipe” at Prince William. Harry feels like an outsider, evident in his tell-all memoir, “Spare.”
Supposed Racism in the Royal Family Will Be Explored
It’s possible that since Scobie is the official biographer of Harry and Meghan, he felt the need to talk negatively about William while talking up Harry.
It’s obvious why he slammed Queen Camilla. She was the other woman in Princess Diana’s marriage to Charles. She was also vilified in Harry’s book.
The Sussexes reportedly claim they had no involvement in Omid Scobie’s scathing depiction of the royal family. Apparently, racism will also be a topic touched upon in Scobie’s book.
In Harry and Meghan’s 2021 interview with Oprah, when Meghan was pregnant with Archie, Meghan said that an unnamed royal family member questioned how dark her baby’s skin would be.
This topic was an accusation that sent shock waves throughout the US and UK, as the royals were vehemently denying any racism in the family.
Meghan played the race card because she knew she could. This situation was, of course, back when America was open to liking The Duke and Duchess.
The book is also rumored to reveal the name of the royal who allegedly commented about Archie.
“Endgame,” which will be available on November 28th, is said to cause as much controversy as Harry’s memoir, as it will be that damaging to the royals.
The book will have considerable interest as everyone waits with bated breath to see what Omid Scobie will say next.
