Harry and Meghan have been struggling through 2023 and have experienced many failed projects and fractured relationships since last January when Prince Harry’s tell-all book, “Spare,” hit shelves.
Harry and Meghan’s Tumultuous 2023
“Spare” started a vast divide in the royal family. Harry sold out his brother, giving his reader the details about a particularly nasty fight that turned physical between the two of them.
Harry and Meghan have also had many failed projects, like Meghan’s Spotify deal and Netflix projects that never got off the ground. They thought these endeavors would repair their damaged reputation.
Then, in November, Omid Scobie’s “Endgame” was released. The Dutch version of the book named the “royal racists” King Charles and Kate Middleton.
According to Meghan, there had been several “conversations” about her and Harry’s first child, Archie, and his skin color before he was born.
However, Meghan never named the royals who allegedly made these comments until Meghan’s mouthpiece, Scobie, named the two royals involved. He likely got his information from her.
The royal racist row backfired on Harry and Meghan. Scobie leaving the names in the Dutch version of the book was obviously a publicity stunt.
After Harry and Meghan were parodied on both “South Park” and “Family Guy,” the Hollywood Bible and “The Hollywood Reporter” also named the couple the “Biggest Losers of 2023.”
The upcoming year of 2024 promises many twists and turns for the Sussexes. Harry and Meghan will have to overcome a lot of negative publicity, but the rumor is that they are being sought out for speaking engagements, business collaborations, and other endeavors.
The Sussexes Look Forward to the New Year
A source close to Harry and Meghan says, “Harry and Meghan think 2024 will be the year of redemption.” They have also been talking about moving their family from Montecito, California, to Los Angeles to be closer to Hollywood.
Another source explains that Meghan has been approached about film roles and endorsement deals with fashion and beauty brands. It’s difficult to imagine, given the PR nightmare the royal racist row must have caused for Meghan’s talent agency, Wilhelmina.
There has also been talk about resurrecting the legal drama “Suits,” where Meghan played the token attractive female lawyer, Rachel Zane.
At the very least, rumors of a “Suits” reunion special are swirling. Right now, Meghan’s passion seems to be aligned with directing and being behind the camera. At the Variety Power of Women gala, she said that she has some “exciting projects” coming up.
Meghan is also thinking of resurrecting her blog, “The Tig,” which she had before marrying Prince Harry. Some royal experts predict another dire year for Harry and Meghan. However, others say things are looking up for the pair.
Many experts have also pointed out that Meghan may be “too hot to handle” after the whole ordeal with Omid Scobie. It was very suspect that neither she nor Harry commented on the book.
All things considered, Meghan would be wise to listen to the sound advice of the people around her and not focus on her past in the royal family. Instead, she would look toward her future with Harry in sunny California.
