‘Welcome to Plathville’ spoilers find that when Micah and Moriah Plath talked about their little brother, you couldn’t help but feel so bad for them. They lost a sibling so young. Moriah said that when they were young not all of the little Plaths could say the word “Joshua” so they all called him “Da-Wa” which is what they have inscribed on his tombstone.

Micah said that he felt like if Joshua was still around, that he would be his buddy, just like Isaac is close to Ethan, it seemed that Micah and Joshua were close as well. Micah did say that he loved the brothers he had, though, but you have to admit you wonder what it would have been like if Micah had had the ‘buddy system’ like Ethan and Isaac do.

They met the rest of the family at the cemetery in order to visit Joshua and hang out. Moriah advised the family not to stand on Joshua’s grave, you’d expect that more from Kim but Moriah is the one that enforced that rule so I’m wondering if they had a closer sibling relationship than what Moriah has let on.

Honestly, they don’t talk about Joshua all that much so we don’t really know what kind of relationship that he had with any of the other Plath kids.

Lydia says she remembers everything about the accident saying that her and the older Plath kids were all in the suburban and Kim had pulled forward to get a load of trees (I’m guessing firewood) and then they felt the bump.

There’s been some speculation about this because Kim originally said in S1 that she was backing up when she hit Joshua, but she didn’t bother correcting Lydia, so there it is.

Kim says after Joshua died, she wanted to die. She said that she didn’t really deal with the guilt portion of her emotions, rather she just shut down and relived that horrible moment on loop for many months.

Barry is the more emotional one when he talks about Joshua’s death, he says that he made it up in his mind to never accuse Kim which is incredibly mature of him but at the same time you can tell there is a lot of emotions that have been unprocessed.

Moriah says that after Joshua’s death, all of the Plaths went into shutdown mode, not just Kim. I think that’s a pretty apt assessment. One wonders if the Plaths will ever manage to deal with those emotions. Stay tuned!!!
