Miami is all about Messi mania right now. Ever since the Argentinian national joined David Beckham’s Miami Football Club, the city can’t get enough of him. South Florida, which used to be all about the Miami Heat, is now all about soccer.
Victoria And Harper Beckham Nearly Get Into A Bloodbath Over Messi
So much so that Victoria Beckham and her daughter Harper Beckham almost got into a bloodbath at a Miami hotspot this past week. This is all because someone tried to sneak in a selfie with the international soccer star.
According to the Daily Mail, Messi was dining with the Beckhams, including David Beckham, and his wife Antonela Roccuzzo were all partying at hotspot Gekko when a fight almost broke out. And it’s all because of a selfie. From a distance, if you will.
Apparently, one patron says that he was just taking a photo with his daughter, who was celebrating her 21st birthday that night. But Messi’s security say that he was trying to sneak in a photo with the soccer player and his guests, the Beckhams. That’s when the patron started getting aggressive.
However, the man told the Daily Mail, “They jumped at us; they kicked me out and punched me in the face. Just because my homeboy was trying to take a picture with his wife, not with Beckham or Messi, nothing. It was a family thing.”
Thankfully Victoria and her daughter Harper left before all the drama started.
A rep for Gekko clarified the situation and said that it was the patron who might have had a little too much to drink that night. Actually, make that a lot to drink that night.
The rep said, “An intoxicated guest was overbearingly taking photos of fellow guests and was asked to stop. He continued taking photos and was calmly escorted off the property.”

He continued, “The guest then returned in an aggressive attempt to rush the door and re-enter the restaurant, to which he was prevented from entering.”
Does this surprise us at all? No. Because it’s Miami. Everyone thinks that they are entitled to that celebrity selfie.
So far reps for both Lionel Messi and the Beckhams haven’t made any comments. All they wanted to do was enjoy their dinner without drunken fools near them.
