ESPN’s Sage Steele has been removed from programming for a week after her “controversial” commented regarding the vaccine mandates at ESPN. While on a podcast with ex-NFL quarterback Jay Cutler, Steele expressed her feelings saying,
“I respect everyone’s decision. I really do. But to mandate it is sick, and it’s scary to me in many ways. I’m not surprised it got to this point, especially with Disney. I mean, a global company like that.”
This hasn’t been a controversial point and people across the United States have raised the same concerns. Nurses and doctors are being fired after refusing to take it and ironically, Steele even took the vaccine! Yes. She wanted to keep her job because she loves it and took the vaccine anyways, but to speak up and say she had her doubts is inexcusable.

Sage Steele Removed From ESPN After “Controversial” Remarks Regarding Vaccine Mandates AFTER She Already Took It
Because of her comments, Steele has been removed for a week and what happens after that point is still up in the air. Of course, people are calling for her head and wanting her to be fired and never taken back, because forgiveness is no longer a thing in our society, even if she complied with the mandate in the first place.
Steele has since commented about her remarks saying,
“I know my recent comments created controversy for the company, and I apologize,” Steele said. “We are in the midst of an extremely challenging time that impacts all of us, and it’s more critical than ever that we communicate constructively and thoughtfully.”
This is a very interesting topic and one that many people are struggling with because she went along with the vaccine mandate and took it, but spoke out against it at the same time. Of course, they’re drawing more attention to that than the fact that she got the job.
What do you think? Should Sage Steele have any issues returning to ESPN or do you think they will end up getting rid of her? Let us know in the comments below.
