In the Blac Chyna trial against the Kardashians, an LA judge ruled that Kim Kardashian cannot be held liable against Blac Chyna’s defamation claim. This case came about when Chyna decided to sue the family because her show with Rob Kardashian had been canceled. Rob & Chyna aired for one season and she claims that it was picked up for a second and then canceled. She claims that the family had everything to do with it.
The Jurors
On Friday, the jurors were told that they needed to consider all of the evidence against the Kardashian family. Part of the evidence was a collection of emails and messages sent by the family to network executives. Kim was sent home and the juror agreed that there was “no evidence to support that Kim had a responsible part in defaming Chyna”.
Kim Kardashian Cleared
Although, Kim is off the hook, she is still under the microscope when it comes to interfering with contracts. The court will continue to bring the Kardashians to the stand and they were shocked at what Rob revealed earlier in the week. He spoke out about Chyna’s very violent side when she would drink alcohol and do cocaine. He stated that she attacked him with a metal rod and put a good to his head.
Chyna told the court that the gun wasn’t loaded and it was a joke, but this joke didn’t make her look too good. She laughed about it and her attitude is not helping her case at all. She mentioned that Rob never had bruises from the beating, but he told the court that he isn’t a person that bruises very easily and that isn’t solid proof.
There have been others who have come to the stand that claim that Chyna is suing for nothing. In fact, Jeff Jenkins, who is the former co-president of Bunim-Murray and executive producer of the show, claimed that there were networks involved in the show and none of the were interested in picking up. These networks included BET, VH1, Lifetime, and MTV. He made it very clear that Rob & Chyna was not a hit and no one wanted it.
This trial continues to linger on and we will have to just keep an eye on what happens next and who is called to the stand next. We are patiently waiting to see all of the Kardashians coming up and giving their statements.
