Twelve people are set to go on trial after they had reportedly robbed Kim Kardashian of over £7 million in jewellery in 2016.

The incident had occurred when Kim was staying in a hotel in Paris during her time at Paris Fashion Week. And as part of that incident, it is alleged that 11 men and one woman were involved in the plot.
Things had gotten so intense that Kim was allegedly at gunpoint and had been gagged before being put in a bath. The authorities failed to recover what was stolen, suggesting that the defendants had been able to dispose of it to someone else.
And the incident did leave Kim with a lot of trauma to overcome. She had apparently said: “Please, I have a family,” for fear that something bad could have happened to her.
The trial is set to go ahead in Paris, but in the meantime, some of the suspects have been released from jail on the grounds of health until the trial goes ahead.
One of the suspects, in the meantime, has stated how he has been remorseful ever since. Step forward, Yunice Abbas. The former decided to write a letter to Kim expressing how much he regretted his actions.
It is clear that Kim is not exactly going to take that as a genuine apology. After all, the only reason why Yunice regrets such a thing is because he was caught.
She has subsequently had trouble sleeping, so much so that she opened up about it this year. During an episode of the Keeping up with the Kardashians reunion show with Andy Cohen, Kim stated: “I can’t sleep if I have jewellery in my safe, or money, or anything at my house.
“I just don’t live my life like that. The things I valued before that happened were genuinely completely different than what I value now.”
Given what he have heard so far, the only way that Kim can move forward is if the people who did this are held to account. That way, she will be able to have some closure and put this behind her.
