Tulsi Gabbard is an American politician and a United States Army Reserve officer who served as the U.S. Representative for Hawaii’s 2nd congressional district from 2013 to 2021. She just ran for president for the Democratic party in 2019.

When she announced her candidacy for the presidency, she explains how the media immediately attacked her and how they would plant seeds that grew ratings. Gabbard also went on to explain how it was just a popularity contest and how no one would want to talk about issues but instead focused on the superficial things and personal attacks.

Gabbard is what would be described as a moderate left candidate and even people on the right could attest to her ideals. This is also a big part of why she never was able to gain a foothold in the Presidential race because she could never lean left far enough.

In this clip, she explains how when she walked into Congress she immediately explained to her family how it was like High School, with everyone’s little groups and cliques, and how they didn’t really talk to one another.

This is just what we want to hear, right? Our Congress and Government act like High School kids in the hallway between classes. Yeah, seems like we’re in good hands.

Unfortunately, Gabbard isn’t in Congress anymore. Hopefully, we will be able to see more of Tulsi because she seems like one of the sanest people that was/is in government, regardless of her political party.

What do you think? Did you think Congress was really like this? Let us know in the comments below.
