In the world of true crime, there are now two men that have been charged with the murders of an architect and model. Their bodies were found right outside of a Los Angeles hospital and this happened earlier in 2022.
True Crime: What Happened?
David Pearce and Brandt Osborn have both been charged with the murders of Christy Giles and Hilda Marcela Cabrales-Arzola. They were arrested for suspicion of manslaughter and being accessories in their deaths, but the charges had not been filed yet. Another man was arrested at the same time and his name is Michael Ansbach. He was not charged at that time.

While two of the men were released on bail, Pearce stayed in jail because of a prior sexual assault and rape charge that multiple women filed against him in 2010 and 2020. Ansbach is still waiting to hear if he has been charged, but as of right now, there have been no final charges against him.
The bodies of the women were dumped separately and at two different hospitals. They were seen wearing masks and in a black Toyota Prius that had no license plates on it. According to the camera footage, there were three men total that dumped these bodies. From the autopsies that were done on the women’s bodies, they had both died from an overdose.
It seems that these women were at a party with these three men on Olympic Boulevard in Los Angeles. Apparently, this was a very exclusive party and it seems as if these men were trying to lure beautiful women in to see what would happen. It was in their favor that they were a producer and an actor and apparently this made it easy to get the women to come along.
The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner filed that both women died due to “multiple drug intoxication.” Giles had several drugs in her system when she died, including cocaine, ketamine, GHB, and fentanyl. This is a deadly mix of drugs and it seems as if she wasn’t aware that she was being given these drugs. GHB is also known as the date rape drug. Cabrales-Arzola was tested for drugs as well and had cocaine and MDMA in her system. There were other drugs found as well, but the coroner couldn’t determine what those were at the time.
This is a terrible crime and we send healing to those who were affected by it. We will continue to keep an eye on it for any changes.
