In his latest Instagram story, Travis can be seen pacing around and tapping his fist to his forehead while tugging his hair and saying that he was “honestly just devastated” by the incident. “I just wanna send out prayers to the ones that was lost last night,” he said. “We’re actually working now to identify the families so we can help assist them through this tough time.”

Travis said his fans “really mean the world to me”, adding he “always just wanna leave them with a positive experience.”

He continued, “Any time I can make out anything (negative) that’s going on, I just stop the show and help them get the help they need, you know. If you have any information, please just contact your local authorities. I mean, I’m honestly just devastated. I could never imagine anything like this happening.”

The crowd surge, during a performance by the rapper, “caused some panic, and it started causing some injuries,” the city’s fire chief, Samuel Peña, said Saturday morning. The concert was part of the Astroworld music festival, a two-day event that began on Friday. About 50,000 people were there on Friday night, according to the Fire Department.

At least eight people were killed, ranging in age from 14 to 27, and dozens more were injured. Of the 25 people who were taken to hospitals, 13 remained hospitalized Saturday, and five of the injured are under 18. A 10-year-old among the injured is in critical condition.
