Last night, at a Travis Scott concert, dozens of people were injured and 8 people died due to a crowd surge, among those who died was a 10 year old child. Yes, that’s right, a 10 year old child was attending a Travis Scott concert and died.
No one expects to die when they’re 10 years old, no one expects to die from simply wanting to see their musical idol on stage. No one thinks that when they walk into a concert venue, or worse yet, when they give their child tickets to see their favorite artist, that the child won’t be getting out of that concert alive.
These parents will never see their child again.
According to sources, the event was overcrowded and underfunded which is speculated to have contributed to the deaths. Anytime an event is poorly organized, the safety of both the artist and the fans are compromised and it looks like that’s exactly what happened last night.
Everyone, including event organizers, are often human and mistakes can and will be made, but this was probably very easily preventable, we’re not sure what went wrong or why the crowd got so out of control, Houstone Law Enforcement is currently investigating the exact cause of this mass casualty event.
There were rumors of drug use at the concert, but that doesn’t necessarily explain a crowd surge, one is not directly related to the other.
It’s interesting to note, that there are a few key players in this tragedy that are direct opponents to the #FreeBritney movement, and it seems that Travis Scott is now being managed by that company with Britney’s former business manager at the helm.
They’re also managing several brands associated with the Kardashians now, so that’s noteworthy, not necessarily directly related, but definitely noteworthy. Perhaps it would be best for Travis to distance himself from this particular business relationship, it just doesn’t seem really productive for his career.
Our hearts go out to the families that lost loved ones to human oversight at a concert, an event that was supposed to be a fun, once in a lifetime event turned out to be the last event that these victims would ever attend. We at DSD will keep you updated on any new developments. Stay tuned!!!
