Tom Hanks had an awkward moment when he asked two women getting married, “where’s the groom?” on Santa Monica beach over the weekend before quickly realizing his error and joking about it. The guests burst into laughter as Hanks asked to take a picture with the bride and groom after accidentally walking into their ceremony.
After realizing it was a same-sex wedding, Hanks shouted, “Oh get out, my stock just exploded!”, joking about his blunder and putting his arms around the two brides, Diciembre Farries and Tashia Farries.

Tashia recounted the event and heard everyone screaming, “There’s Tom Hanks!” In a clip uploaded to Daily Mail, guests are the wedding can be heard explaining to younger children that he was the voice of Woody in ‘Toy Story’.
According to Tashia, Tom had been watching the ceremony from afar and was so moved by it that he decided to approach the couple afterward.
For Diciembre, the surprise guest was the perfect end to a perfect day.
“Our wedding was already a dream to me,’ she said. ‘To finally marry her — this was our day. And everybody we love was there, and… Tom Hanks just walks up! Out of all days, out of all people, he walked on the beach today. It was meant [to be].”
Hanks has been known for his friendly demeanor and this isn’t the first time he’s surprised some newlyweds! Back in 2016 he introduced himself to a couple, Elisabeth and Ryan after they were married in Central Park.
