When Warwickshire, U.K. resident Alison Webb was asked if a helicopter could make an urgent landing in her back yard, she never suspected three-time Golden Globe winner, Tom Cruise would step out of the aircraft.
With nearby Coventry Airport temporarily shut down, the Webbs were asked if their field could be used for a “VIP who was running late.”
Alison gathered the kids after granting the request. “I thought it would be kind of cool for the kids to see the helicopter land in the garden,” she said.

Even cooler was the VIP who stepped from the chopper.
“It turned out to be an incredible day,” Alison said. “It was surreal, I still now can’t believe it happened.”
Alison went on to describe how, after the superstar exited the transport, he took the time to come over to the Webb family for a chat and offer thanks for the makeshift helipad. He offered elbow bumps all round before inviting Alison’s children to go for a ride in his helicopter!
While Cruise attended a meeting nearby, the Webb kids got to go on the ride of a lifetime.
Cruise is in the UK filming the seventh installment of the ever-popular Mission Impossible movies.
Along with costars Hayley Atwell and Pom Klementieff, Cruise has been seen around town, much to the delight of starstruck locals. They trio even attended the Wimbledon finals last month. While Cruise has obliged many a fan request for photos, he has been doing so from a safe social distance. Cruise is famously known for taking Covid protocols seriously.
Mission: Impossible 7 is expected to debut in theaters on May 27, 2022.
