Once upon a time, The Willis Clan appeared on America’s Got Talent, and this is usually where the story would read “the rest is history” but it doesn’t end there.
It takes some very dark twists and turns. On the surface, this family seemed like the perfect Christian homeschool family who just happened to be incredibly musically talented. But what no one knew was the abuse they suffered at the hands of family Patriarch, Toby Willis, their father.

The girls were instructed, as so many are in some deeply religious homes, not to question what went on. However, their Father took it a step too far and forbade them from even talking to each other about the atrocities that happened to them.
For years, the sisters did not know that what they thought was only happening to one of them, was happening to all of them. It was the oldest daughter, Jessica Willis, who finally got up the courage to confront her father in a letter – and her Mother backed her up.
Only this didn’t go in the direction that either of them wanted, because Jessica said that afterward, he started making threats on hers, her Moms, and the rest of the family’s lives.
“My father lashed out at us both with whatever threats necessary to maintain his control and began consistently threatening my Mom with the lives of the entire family.” thankfully, Jessica found a way out of the abusive household through some friends, got counseling, and then one friend reported her Dad to the Tennesse Burea of Investigations, for suspected sexual abuse in the home.
Toby Willis was subsequently charged and convicted with four counts of child sexual rape and got 40 years. The Willis’s Clan TV show was cancelled in 2016, after having been on for two seasons.
In spite of all of this, his wife, Brenda, still remains married to him… one step at a time, we suppose. If this is what they do in Tennessee, one wonders what they’ll do in Arkansas? Stay tuned!!!
