TLC ‘Welcome to Plathville’ Spoilers finds that on next week’s preview we saw that Ethan Plath, who has followed his wife all the way out to California, has a gift for Olivia and he wants to give it to her in Joshua Tree state park, but there was literally no clue as to what that gift was.
We all know that Olivia has been wanting to get away from Cairo, Georgia for awhile and she has wanted to buy a house elsewhere so that she can escape her in-laws. Her in-laws who literally bought a house 0.3 miles from theirs without telling them and now refuse to speak to her in public in the grocery store because of reasons that we’re not entirely clear on.

Could Ethan surprise her with a house? I would hope that he would at least include Olivia in on the purchase of one, if he were going to pick them out a house. Perhaps however, it’s land in which to build a house on, that would be interesting.
But it would also delay them moving away for awhile while the house is being built, unless Ethan either has some mad house building skills or personally knows a contractor who does. Somehow, I don’t think that’s it, but it’s some food for thought.
Or maybe it’s completely unrelated to the house buying thing and perhaps he let up on the ‘no weed ever’ rule, snuck into a dispensary and bought some edibles. Hey, he said he would never smoke weed, he didn’t say anything about not eating it.
Somehow, I doubt this is it as well, but stranger things have happened. Either way, the gift seemed to have Olivia thoroughly shocked so I’m interested to see what kind of thing that could produce that sort of reaction out of her.
It doesn’t seem like he can pull one over on her too often judging from the whole ‘eject button’ joke he pulled on her. She kept asking what a button does in the corvette they were in and Ethan played a prank on her telling her it was the eject button, that if you get in a crash the car can literally eject you out of it .
I have to admit I believed him too for a split second, and then I thought back about all the corvette crashes and realized that he was indeed joking. Well played, Ethan. Still, can’t wait to see what he has planned for next week – stay tuned!!!
