Since the Plath marriage is ending, the speculation over social media has started and hoo boy, there are some theories. A prevalent theme among them is that Kim Plath was the one who stepped out first and cheated, since she was the first one to bring home a “gym friend”, Nigel.
A lot of people on social media have speculated that Kim started going to the gym and ended up getting a little overheated and things happened between her and Nigel so she decided to rub it in hubby Barry Plath’s face. Barry only came armed with Dad-jokes to this dinner of jamaican jerk chicken, he was obviously outclassed on every level by Nigel and it showed.
Did Kim or Barry Plath have a sidepiece?
Although, some of us think that Kim may have just pulled this move to get a rise out of Barry and make him jealous and make him be the man she fell for all those years ago. But Barry didn’t seem to rise to that challenge and we’re not entirely sure why. Barry just seems a bit detached, removed, and in his latest conversation with Kim, seemed to behave in a disturbingly superior manner to her.
The way he was looking at her when asking for a second chance was a little on the creepy side, at least according to the fandom at large. It made quite a few people uncomfortable, his gaze. (Again, now we see where Lydia gets that almost creepy religious slant from.)
However, some husbands act all cool and detached when they’ve already fallen out of love with their wives and have moved on to someone else. This can’t be proven (unless someone comes forward with receipts), but another pet theory of my own is that somewhere, Barry has a sidepiece or has had a sidepiece in the past.
Seven months ago, when Kim alluded to “not being happy” may have been when she found out about it, and that may have prompted her decision to leave. Also, another thing, why would Barry cave and buy Kim an entire dance studio if there wasn’t some bigger catalyst. Certainly, Kim didn’t wake up one day and just decide she wanted to dance again.
We just haven’t found out what the catalyst was yet. We’ll have to see how the rest of this season plays out. Stay tuned!!!
