TLC 'OutDaughtered' Spoilers: The Tips To Raising Quints - Sharing Is Caring

It can be tough to raise this many children at a time and on their YouTube channel, they have some tips for those who are interested. These tips go from sharing to sibling rivalry and the Busby’s show us just how difficult it is to raise quints. We have some of the tips shared on their channel. You can follow them on social media as well to see other tips and adorable pictures of the girls!

TLC ‘OutDaughtered’ Spoilers: Sharing In A House Of Eight

It may seem incredibly tough for this many children to share and Adam and Danielle point out that it is! Even when there are five of the same toy, the girls will always want the one that their sister is playing with. This is the nature of young children, but it can get frustrating. The quints have a tough time sharing, so Danielle now uses a timer system. This has been working so far for the quints and it makes them play with each other better. When the girls know that they only have four minutes to play with a toy, it makes them enjoy the toy even more.

TLC ‘OutDaughtered’ Spoilers: The Tips To Raising Quints

Danielle and Adam pointed out that they have to be proactive with setting rules about sharing and playing nicely together. They have to keep everything consistent because when the quints get older, they will start to realize that the timer didn’t get set or only got set for a certain amount of time and not the full time. The girls are smart and the Busby’s do realize that!

TLC ‘OutDaughtered’ Spoilers: Sibling Rivalry Is Real

When we look at the quints, they seem so sweet and innocent. By looking at the biggest rivalry in the house, we see differently. Olivia and Riley have been going at it since they were really young. They will hit, bite, and kick to get their way. They play well together, but when one of them has a toy, they start to fight!

Riley feels like she is the alpha in their relationship and always wants the attention on her, but Olivia is such a performer that she usually gets the attention, which causes Riley to retaliate. This is what starts their fights for the most part. These fights are all part of their life, but the Busby’s have tried a new way to discipline the quints. At first, they used time outs, but that only became worse as the quints got older. Now they use the 1, 2, 3 system. When Danielle says 1, the girls know to stop what they are doing. When she says 2, they get a warning, and when she says 3, they have a consequence. Adam has also been putting two girls together in the same t-shirt and they hate that!

It seems like raising quints is tough and we will let Adam and Danielle do it. So far, they are doing an amazing job and we hope to see more of them soon on TLC.
