When we looked further into her Instagram account, we realized that she is battling some anxiety issues and perhaps some depression. She recently posted on her story and it had fans curious as to what is going on with her now.

If you have been watching the show closely, you may have noticed that Ariela has some scars on her arms. After her panic attack in the cab on the way to her mom’s hotel, a lot of fans are concerned about Ariela’s mental health. She has had a lot of fans ask her what the scars are from and she finally decided to open up more about her mental health and her past.

On her Instagram story, she posted, “It has come to my attention that people are interested to know about the scars on my arms. I want to say that yes they are self-inflicted. I had a tumultuous adolescence as so many others have had. I started questions the world and my life from a young age. I could not find peace with myself nor the world I was living in.
And this was my answer at the time. I will make a video elaborating on it and how I came to change. But this is the truth of my life and I am not ashamed. Thanks to all those who reached out to support me and those who were brave enough to share their own stories.”
Ariela’s Instagram is also filled with a lot of her traveling memories. Her mother has always been a great companion and support to her and even now that they are in Ethiopia together, the two seem so happy to spend time with one another and her mother has shown her immense support with her mental health as well.
We are extremely grateful that Ariela doesn’t mind sharing her story about her self-inflicted wounds. This post will end up helping more people than she knows.
