Regarding his alleged 2020 beating at the hands of 8 corrections officials at an Oklahoma jail, Joe Exotic is speaking up.
In a recent audio tape posted to Twitter, the “Tiger King” actor supposedly described what allegedly happened to him in graphic detail while apparently speaking on the phone from a cell. The audio sample is from the podcast “Lauren Interviews.”
Joe angrily says, “They beat the f*** out of me, 8 guards, tied me to a chair butt naked, put me in a shower so long that I blacked out and I woke up with skin off my arms from the straps.”

As previously reported, Joe asserted in court documents that he was subjected to a sexual assault while restrained to a chair and was beaten by jail officers while having his arm flesh torn out. In 2020, after being found guilty and receiving a 21-year jail term, Joe pleaded with then-President Donald Trump to grant him a pardon.
During Joe’s federal murder-for-hire trial, he was being held at the Grady County Jail in Oklahoma when the claimed assault took place. Correction officials found no evidence of an attack on any of the facility’s recorded cameras. At the time, a spokeswoman for the jail declined to comment, but a law enforcement source told us Joe made the whole thing up.
The situation seems like Joe is trying to get more conversations going on about this even though the incident happened 3 years ago. At the end of the day, it sounds like this has already been dealt with and Joe is just trying to stir the pot to stay in the headlines. Congratulations. It worked.
