Tiger King’s Joe Exotic, 58, learned over the phone that his husband, Dillon Passage will be filing for divorce after three years of marriage and two and a half years apart.
Exotic, 58, is currently serving 22-years in a Forth Worth, Texas prison for plotting to kill his big cat rival Carole Baskin. Joe is reportedly “heartbroken” over the split, telling a friend he feels “abandoned and alone and just wanted to mean something to someone.”
In a long, long statement posted to his Instagram, Joe’s 25 year-old soon to be ex-husband, Dillon has said he has grown lonely since Exotic was placed behind bars and would like to start dating again.

He has said the decision to split wasn’t easy and insisted there is no bad blood between the pair and pledged to support his felonious ex for the remainder of his lengthy sentence.
Dillon married the flamboyant lip-synching, presidential running, zoo owner just two months after Joe’s second husband, Travis Maldonado accidentally shot himself in the head.
All of which was captured on camera and shown (not the gruesome parts) on the wildly successful Netflix docu-series, Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem and Madness
“I felt as if I had a microscope constantly looming over me which was and still is incredibly uncomfortable,” Dillon wrote of his struggles to cope with the media and fan frenzy that came after the airing of Tiger King.
The timing of the docu-series’ release, during the early weeks of the pandemic, turned the wildest thing most viewers had ever seen into a cultural sensation and thrust the entire cast into the spotlight.
Dillon’s rather amicable-sounding statement came shortly after Joe wrote an angry (since deleted) tweet, claiming Dylan was neglecting him.
In fact, most of Joe’s tweets from jail are angry, claiming his innocence, thanking his supporters and blaming every man and his dog for his incarceration.
Joe has also mentioned his health has been declining, citing an immune disorder and asking, yet again, for a pardon from prison. His last request, from outgoing president Trump, was declined.
Seeing as it looks like Joe will be cooling his heels in prison a little (lot) longer yet, he plans to release Exotic also plans to release a book — Tiger King: The Official Tell-All Memoir. Look for it just in time for Christmas 2021!
