Her first role on screen was when she was just twelve years old. She played as an extra on the soap, All My Children. Little did she know that would be her future career trajectory!

She was on two episodes of Dawson’s Creek in 2001 and 2003, but she started appearing in a regular role as Annie Lavery on All My Children in 2006. Melissa played that role until 2011. She was nominated for an Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series for that role in 2009, 2011 and 2012.

‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Chelsea Lawson in Genoa City

Chelsea Lawson has gone through some challenging situations during her time in Genoa City. She actually became pregnant with Billy Abbott’s (Jason Thompson) child. She decided to give up maternal rights to her child to let Billy and Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) raise the child together.

Then Chelsea got married to Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) and they had a child, Conner Newman (Judah Mackey) together. They did not stay together and Chelsea has had a lot of turmoil in her life.

She suffered an aneurysm with paralysis at one point. After poisoning Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) to frame Adam, she got caught by Victor Newman.

He told her he would expose her to the authorities and she could go to prison, or if she would tell him everything, he would help her. She confided in him and then he had her committed as she feigned a mental breakdown.

Chelsea has dealt with mental health challenges. Recently she has made some improvements in her life and relationships. She is on a great trajectory, working for Marchetti and caring for her son.
