The world is still mourning the sudden and tragic passing of beloved The Young and the Restless star Kristoff St. John. His death sent shockwaves across the world as the 52-year-old’s death was announced Monday, February 10. A new TMZ report specifies that St. John, who portrayed the charismatic Neil Winters on Y&R, will be buried next to his son. Here’s everything you need to know.

The Young and the Restless star is going to be buried next to his son, Julian St. John. Julian passed away in 2014 after committing suicide. He was only 24 years old.

Many people have commented that Kristoff had a difficult time dealing with his son’s passing. Actor and fellow Y&R co-star Eric Braeden, who portrays the charismatic Newman patriarch Victor Newman, commented in a recent interview that although Kristoff was fine at first and managed to put his emotions aside, it eventually seemed to catch up to him.
Of course, this is the personal opinion of a workmate, but this account seems to be corroborated by the facts. In 2017 he brought attention to his issues after threatening to shoot himself, which lead to a 72-hour stay in a psychiatric ward. Just earlier this year reports say that he went and checked himself in of his own volition at the UCLA Medical Center after battling his then latest bout of depression. He walked out only a couple of days before his death.

Kristoff will be buried at the Valley Oaks Memorial Park in Westlake Village, California which is located near Los Angeles. As of right now, the official cause of death has yet to be determined. We do know that an autopsy was performed on his body, which was then returned back to his family.
The actor’s cause of death is still unknown, though an autopsy was performed and his body has since been returned to his family.
