‘The Young And The Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers show that the writers for Y&R are celebrating their Daytime Emmy win for Outstanding Writing Team for a Drama Series, but a lot of fans are scratching their heads.
Don’t get me wrong, we love Y&R, right? But we can all admit that it seems to have gone downhill over the last few years, and especially over the last couple of months. The most exciting moment was Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) finding out he had a kid.
However, Y&R still won, and they took the celebration to their Instagram page where fans commented their opinions on the victory.
“To the amazing team that creates the stories of Genoa City…congratulations! ? The #YR writing team takes home the award at the #DaytimeEmmys!”
‘The Young And The Restless’ Spoilers: Y&R Wins Daytime Emmy For Writing – But How?
Viewers wrote, “Don’t know how cause they have had such bad storylines.”, “I’ve been watching this show for 27 yrs… the writing is terrible! The story lines are terrible! They definitely need some new ideas be”, “how on earth did they win??? Sooooo boring!” and “I’ve always said the writing on the show is terrible they recycle storylines every few years.”
This seems to have been an issue for a long time, and while there are plenty of fans out there who congratulated the writing team on their accomplishment, the writing on the show still seems to be suffering from something.
Perhaps it’s these award shows that tell them they’re doing fantastic and disregarding what their actual fans have to say. When you get a pat on the back for mediocracy, you’ll probably continue to keep doing what you’re doing.
However, as I said, we all still love Y&R, but we’re not without our criticisms. Outstanding Writing Team for a Drama Series? I don’t think so.
